The Blu Carpet kicks off with the second edition of the short film contest I mille volti dell’acqua and the dedicated film showcase Gocce di cinema
The Teatro Olimpico becomes the Teatro Olimpico Acea and will host the exhibition “Acea Heritage” throughout the event
The company will be present with a stand at the Auditorium Parco della Musica
Acea supports the 2025 Rome Film Fest, characterizing its presence by a focus on raising public awareness of the theme of water. One of the highlights will be the Acea evening, featuring the premiere of one of the festival's main films in the Sinopoli Hall at the Auditorium.
Once again this year, the Group, led by CEO Fabrizio Palermo, promotes the film showcase Gocce di cinema, a retrospective of films dedicated to water, interpreted through the language of the seventh art from ecological, naturalistic, cultural, artistic, dreamlike, and religious perspectives. The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, is joined by “I Mille Volti dell’Acqua”, Acea’s contest dedicated to unpublished short films portraying water through fiction, documentary, or animation, with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of water conservation and reuse, in line with the Group’s sustainability strategies.
“Guardians of Water” is this year’s theme, and the best work among the over 150 short films received will be selected by a jury composed of Acea and critics from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and will be screened on 15 October at the Teatro Studio Borgna hall of the Ennio Morricone Auditorium Parco della Musica. The winning video maker will receive the Acea Group Special Prize and a €5,000 grant.
On the occasion of the event, Acea will set up a stand at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, where it will be possible to meet the protagonists of the films on the programme and watch the short films competing in the I mille volti dell’acqua contest. The stand will be accessible via the Blu Carpet, which will remind and highlight the importance of water resources.
From 15 October, the opening day of the event, and throughout the Film Fest, the historic Teatro Olimpico in Rome will host some of the films from the showcase and will be renamed Teatro Olimpico Acea. The foyer will then host an exhibition of images, works, and industrial engineering objects from “Acea Heritage”, an exhibition created to showcase the history and culture of Acea at its headquarters in Piazzale Ostiense.
