Rome, 16 December 2025
– Record participation in the Acea Scuola Water Education 2025-2026 project: in just two months, an additional 11,000 students have joined, bringing the total number of participating students to over 22,000 to date.

Young people will have the opportunity to take part in the national contest “Gocce di innovazione. L’uso dell’acqua nella tua casa del futuro” (“Drops of Innovation. Water Use in Your Future Home”): with the support of their teachers, they will be required to produce a short film on the link between technological innovation and the water sector, imagining how such innovations may transform our homes in the future.

Among the prizes up for grabs are vouchers for the purchase of educational materials and free participation in the second edition of the Acea Acqua Edu Camp, which this year will become a truly sustainable tour combining water education, sport, and play in the regions where the Group operates. As part of the project, students will also have the opportunity to visit Acea’s facilities and gain direct, hands-on experience at a range of sites on offer; visits will take place between March and May 2026.

Starting this year, the Acea Scuola Water Education project, previously aimed at students in primary and lower secondary schools in six regions, has been extended nationwide, bringing an innovative water education pathway to schools across Italy. The goal is to educate the new generations on the responsible use and protection of water resources. In 2026, upper secondary schools and vocational institutes across the country will also be able to participate.

The new 2025-2026 edition of Acea Scuola Water Education is enriched with new multimedia content and interactive quizzes designed to engage students in an increasingly dynamic and enjoyable way. Planned activities also include digital training on the world of water delivered through a dedicated platform, as well as content structured for the different age groups of the students involved.
