Since September 2025, Ugo Marchetti has served as Head of Operational Excellence at Acea.
Previously, from 2022 to 2025, he held the position of Director of Real Estate and Retail Operations Management within the Commercial Business Unit at Aeroporti di Roma – ADR (part of the Mundys Group), the business unit responsible for all non-aviation revenue activities. In this capacity, he ensured the full operational efficiency and compliance of all commercial premises and service buildings at Fiumicino and Ciampino airports, coordinated industrial and commercial logistics as well as the asset management of a 1.3-million-square-metre real estate portfolio, and oversaw the multi-year investment programme for the refurbishment and development of commercial assets.
Also at ADR, from 2020 he headed the Real Estate Department, managing and enhancing sub-leased areas and safeguarding sector revenues during the pandemic crisis. He also oversaw several development initiatives, including the third office tower and a new hangar at Ciampino. From 2017, he coordinated the Programme Management of corporate transformation initiatives, delivering efficiency projects and building an internal network of change agents.
Between 2001 and 2017, he worked at BNL – BNP Paribas Group, where he held positions of increasing responsibility across real estate, strategic projects and innovation. As Head of Real Estate for the Group’s Employee Pension Fund, he revitalised the property portfolio by introducing advanced quality-control systems and improved outsourcer management frameworks. Previously, as Head of Programme Management for the Retail & Private Division, he led digitalisation and product-development projects for the bank’s main business line, while in the Real Estate Department he oversaw the transformation of asset-management models, the digitalisation of processes and several strategic initiatives.
His career began at Procter & Gamble Italy, where he gained solid industrial experience in Operations through the methodologies of Total Productive Maintenance, applied to chemical plants and paper-manufacturing technology. He held positions of responsibility in production, supply chain, and industrial transformation and change-management processes.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and has registered several industrial patents, including the first “electro-optic” electricity meter.
