Press Release

The Acea Group adheres to the agreement through its companies Acea Ambiente and Acea Ato 5, both operating in the Frosinone area

Ernesto Liguori, Prefect of Frosinone, Tommaso Sabato, CEO of Acea Ambiente Srl, and Paolo Falconi, legal representative of Acea Ato, signed a Partnership Protocol to prevent organized crime infiltrations and protect legality in the water and environmental sectors, in which the companies operate within the province of Frosinone.

With this agreement, the parties commit to closer cooperation in safeguarding legality in all operations and activities carried out by Acea Ambiente and Acea Ato 5 within the prefecture’s areas of competence. Specifically, the application areas include preventing and addressing irregularities in tendering procedures, thefts and vandalism, frauds affecting key infrastructures, legal violations and irregularities in the transport, recovery, and disposal of waste, organized crime infiltrations, and security threats to critical infrastructures.

The protocol also includes Acea’s commitment to promoting information and training initiatives of its personnel and raising awareness throughout the entire supply chain (contractors and subcontractors) on these themes. A specific verification process of the supplier companies’ technical, economic, capital, and financial requirements is also planned to prevent adverse impacts on workplace health and safety and to contribute to environmental protection, with a view to full sustainability.

As Prefector Liguori emphasized, this protocol represents a significant commitment to cooperation between parties, which must be implemented immediately through concrete initiatives in the area, with the valuable support of law enforcement as well.

Tommaso Sabato, CEO, and Paolo Falconi, legal representative of Acea Ato 5, expressed Acea’s satisfaction and strong commitment to collaborating with government authorities. Acea pledged to establish a continuous and constant exchange of information to prevent organized crime infiltration and the commission of unlawful acts or irregularities that could compromise the provision of essential services to the community.

These agreements fall within the “National Framework Procotol” signed last July by Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of the Interior, and Fabrizio Palermo, CEO and General Director of Acea. The protocol aims at strengthening nationwide cooperation in the field of public security, taking into account Acea’s commitment to carrying out major infrastructural works in the coming years.
