The waste-to-energy plant in Terni is one the two plants managed by Acea Ambiente and exclusively uses paper mill pulper for electricity production.
The plant in Terni processes exclusively paper mill pulper, a type of waste from the paper and cardboard recycling process. The waste-to-energy plant is also equipped with photovoltaic systems, which in 2023 generated approximately 436 MWh of electricity, of which approximately 55% was consumed on the site and the remainder was transferred to the past grid.
