Press Release

The meetings of “Acea per il sociale” (Acea for the Community) continue. The Group’s project includes a series of events across Rome and its metropolitan area to raise awareness among older people on key topics such as fraud prevention, water and energy conservation, and sustainability. The most recent meeting was held last week at the APS Filippo Media Senior Centre in Rome’s Municipio IV. Barbara Marinali, President of Acea, attended the event, which was organized under the patronage of Roma Capitale and in collaboration with the local municipality and the Carabinieri.

In particular, these meetings aim to provide older people with practical tools to protect themselves, especially in their daily lives. Acea’s experts and the Carabinieri will offer guidance on recognizing and preventing fraud, such as the unintentional signing of contracts, helping citizens better understand the terms being offered. At the end of the meeting, Barbara Marinali, President of Acea, donated a tablet to the President of the Senior Centre to encourage direct interaction with Acea’s virtual help desk. All participants received useful water- and energy-saving gadgets, such as reusable water bottles and LED bulbs.
