Press Release

Over 450 participants took part in the event as part of the Acea team

The Group, Italy’s leading water operator, was present at the Health Village with a stand dedicated to water

Acea reaffirms its support for Race for the Cure, the major event held today in Rome and organized by Komen Italia in the fight against breast cancer. This year, the Group, Italy’s leading water operator, partnered for the first time with the sports area, emphasizing the close connection between water, life, and health, and highlighting the importance of physical activity as a key form of primary prevention.

The culture of prevention, a value that Acea has always promoted and which also represents one of the key messages of Race for the Cure, is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to monitoring water quality.

Today’s major event featured a 2 km walk through the heart of Rome and a 5 km run, in addition to a 10 km competitive race reserved for Fidal athletes. Among the many teams that took part as a sign of solidarity, the Acea team was also present, with over 450 participants.

The “Women in Pink” were once again the central protagonists of this year’s event. These are women who are facing or have faced breast cancer and who, through their distinctive pink t-shirts, spread a message of encouragement to thousands of women across Italy who confront the disease each year.

Acea also participated in this edition with a stand inside the Health Village, inaugurated on 8 May. There, water bottles were distributed, and activities were held to raise awareness about the more conscious use of the resource.
